The #1 reason that pets are surrendered to our shelter is for behavior reasons. CPA! is building resources in Clermont County to help pet owners with problems, before the problems become too large and the bond between the owner and pet is destroyed.
Until we have a resource center, however, our ability to offer services is limited.
We are searching for Animal Advocate Leaders who have expertise in trouble-shooting issues involving animals and enjoy helping people help animals. These leaders will be responsible for creating our Community Pet Helpline. We have the manual ready to be implemented, we just need dedicated animal lovers who can commit to answering phone calls and emails from people who need guidance in how to save animals.
If you are interested in helping create our Community Pet Helpline, please complete our Volunteer Application.
Community Helpline to Assist Humans to Help Animals
Helpline’s Mission: To help people help their pets to find new homes or to stay in their current homes.
We will work together with the person seeking help to determine and implement the best solution for them and their pet. We will be able to offer advice and assistance with solving behavioral or medical issues, and limited assistance with re-homing their pet.
